Biography
Alejandro Dorado Nájera holds a degree in Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Spain. Throughout his career, he has worked in international cooperation — as a technical officer for the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) in Mali and Brazil — and served as Councillor for Sustainability and Ecological Transition and Spokesperson for the Government of La Rioja. Since his appointment under Royal Decree 1213/2023, he has served as Commissioner for the Circular Economy at the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO), promoting policies on circularity, reuse and ecodesign aligned with Spain’s PERTE for the Circular Economy.
